Điều gì quyết định sự thành công lâu dài của một implant?

Câu trả lời ngày nay không còn chỉ nằm ở thiết kế implant hay kỹ thuật cấy ghép.

Những hiểu biết mới cho thấy implant nha khoa là một hệ thống sinh học, liên tục tương tác với vi khuẩn, mô quanh implant và vật chủ. Sự thành công của điều trị phụ thuộc vào khả năng duy trì trạng thái cộng sinh của toàn bộ hệ thống này. Khi sự cân bằng bị phá vỡ, viêm niêm mạc quanh implant và viêm quanh implant có thể xuất hiện.

Tại VIDEC 2026, GS. Nikos Mattheos – chuyên gia quốc tế về Nha chu và Cấy ghép nha khoa, Trưởng ban Giáo dục của ITI (International Team for Implantology) – sẽ trình bày bài báo cáo:

“Viêm quanh implant do mảng bám: Thách thức cũ, tầm nhìn mới”.

Từ những bằng chứng khoa học mới nhất, bài báo cáo sẽ phân tích:

– Sự tương tác giữa vi khuẩn, implant, mô quanh implant và vật chủ trong quá trình hình thành bệnh lý quanh implant.

– Các yếu tố lâm sàng giúp duy trì trạng thái cộng sinh hoặc làm gia tăng nguy cơ viêm quanh implant.

– Chiến lược phòng ngừa, phát hiện sớm và điều trị viêm niêm mạc quanh implant cũng như viêm quanh implant dựa trên bằng chứng.

– Vai trò của lập kế hoạch điều trị, thiết kế phức hợp implant – phục hình – mô và chương trình duy trì cá thể hóa trong việc đảm bảo kết quả lâm sàng lâu dài.

“Thách thức cũ” vẫn là mảng bám vi khuẩn. Nhưng “tầm nhìn mới” là cách tiếp cận implant như một hệ sinh học động, nơi sự cân bằng giữa vi sinh vật, mô và vật liệu quyết định sức khỏe hay bệnh lý quanh implant.

What determines the long-term success of a dental implant? Today, the answer extends far beyond implant design or surgical technique.

Emerging evidence shows that dental implants are biologically active systems, continuously interacting with the peri-implant tissues, the oral microbiome, and the host. Long-term clinical success depends on maintaining this delicate symbiosis. Once this balance is disrupted, peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis may develop.
